Greetings Card Puffins 90g bar (RRP )
Puffins mate for life, living at sea only returning to land to breed in March and April. UK has several breeding colonies on remote islands, with estimated numbers of 580,799 pairs. When breading they nest in burrows in short grass on cliff tops. Puffins lay one egg, both parents incubate and feed the chick. The chick remains in the burrow until it is independent and ready to go in the sea, not returning to land for 4/5 years until they are mature enough to breed. Diet of fish, especially sand-eels.
